Smoke over Canada and Mexico.
PM2.5 concentrations were Moderate in California and along locations east and west of the Appalachian Mountains (Airnow animation, top left image). NOAA's HMS product reports that satellite retrievals showhigh AOD values due to remnant smoke form Siberian fires. Smoke is present in locations across British Columbia, northwest Washington, extending into the north-central US and New York. Also,they indicated that an area of thin-density smoke is visible across several Mexican states (Sonora/Sinaloa/Chihuahua/Durango), due to the many active fires in the area. Finally, large wildfires continue to burn in central Arizona. The smoke has been blowing mainly to the east-northeast and extending into western New Mexico
