Good AQI; Small fires and light smoke in West

Good air quality was experienced today over most of the nation. Pm2.5 levels were good with only scatter moderate readings in Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas (top left). Ozone levels were also good throughout the entire country. HMS continues reporting small fires in several states, however no significant amount of smoke was detected (top right). In particular, fires in Idaho and Washington are producing light to dense smoke near the fires (bottom left). Finally, today's lidar observations at UMBC shows a very clean signal coinciding with the good air quality experienced in the area (bottom left).
