Moderate AQI in in the Lakes and Mid-Atlantic region; High AOD and NO2 in the great lakes

Today, good air quality was experienced in most of the US, except in the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Great Lakes regions (top left). Also, some stations in the Pacific Northwest reported moderate levels. GASP Aerosol Optical Depth animation shows high AOD levels also in the Lakes region (top right). In addition to the Moderate PM2.5 and high AOD, high NO2 concentrations were retrieved by OMI in the same region (bottom left). According to HMS different fires continue taking place, especially in Louisiana but no significant smoke has been detected (bottom right).
