Scattered Code Yellow AQI; elevated AOD in Arkansas

Today's air quality conditions were similar to this past weekend, with only a few portions of the United States experiencing Code Yellow PM2.5 (top left). The NRL's NAAPS aerosol forecast indicated slightly elevated sulfates across eastern Texas, which could be contributed to the Code Yellow (Moderate) AQI readings (top right). Elsewhere, the Southeast states experienced concentrated regions of fires again, however with little indication of smoke plumes due to cloud contamination (bottom left). A few fires in Arkansas were observed today and may have contributed to the elevated aerosol optical depth readings nearby (bottom right).
