Pollution elevates PM 2.5 in Idaho

There were a good amount of Code Yellow (Moderate) levels of PM 2.5 in the US today, with Code Yellow PM being seen in the Pacific Southwest and Northwest, the Rocky Mountain States, Texas, and the Mississippi Valley. There were also Code Orange (Unsafe for Sensitive Groups) and Code Red (Unsafe) levels of PM 2.5 were seen in Idaho, Wyoming, and Utah. According to the National Weather Service of Idaho, this rise in PM 2.5 was due to "elevated pollutant levels". There was also smoke seen in the Mississippi Valley, the southern Plains States, and the Southeast (NOAA, top left). However, this smoke does not seem to have affected PM 2.5 levels here.
